Since the beginning of time man has looked up at the stars and wondered what lay beyond. This exhibition pays homage to that relationship and our interconnectedness with the expansive space above us and the knowing that many of us feel a kinship with those spaces.

There are elements of the stars that live within us even today, from the iron in our blood to the calcium in our bones.

The elements were born out of the stars and matter above us, formed over eons of time.  So we are a part of a greater creation that reminds us of our Divinity and humbles us with its immensity every time we look up at the night sky.

These paintings are channelled through the Galactic Mother and The Divine, opening pathways to the stars and to the home places of our origins.

Galactic Gateways - Starsteps

Lyttelton Lights

This image is reversible; containing both the energy of the starry-like lights of the Lyttelton township and when reversed the starlit night sky over Antarctica. There is a strong energy link between these two places as the expeditions for this icy landscape leave from Lyttelton.

Abstract Moon

The moon is a vital part of the cycles of life upon this planet and many of us may not be aware of its full influence, but it governs many of our own inner cycles.  It reminds us we are a part of something greater, a connection to a great cosmic rhythm that is echoed in our own internal make-up.

A Wish

Magic beats in every heart that looks into that great night sky and feels the expansiveness of what lies beyond. This image is linked to childhood, to the belief in dreams and wishes that come true. The precious moments when we wished upon a star, knowing in our 'beingness' that our lives were intricately connected to a greater magick that would hear our prayer.

Moonbeam

This sweet dreamlike image speaks of delicate beauty and the strength found in the moon that watches over the moth/butterfly. Life is seen coming out of the dark and into the light as the leaves are touched with moonlight. Magic is everywhere.

Starlit

This abstract depiction of sunlight on water has a fairy-like quality to it, as if all the Earth Magicks of the world are dancing with the starlight of the Sun upon the water. The Sun is our great star that warms us and gives life and beauty to our planet. Sometimes we can forget that great things govern our everyday lives. Look with new eyes, greatness can be found in the smallest of things. Sometimes the simplest pleasures give us a window into the divine power that sustains us.

Starsteps

These paintings represent a moment of beautiful, delicate connection. They are a step into a greater truth, a moment where the earth meets the stars and we are drawn into the expansiveness of existence. We step into eternity every-day. The moment we go out into the dark and look up at the billions of shining stars in our night sky we are graced by the light of eternity. Touched by celestial bodies that have born and died by the time their light reaches us. The stars wait for us to acknowledge them, to turn our gaze to the heavens and once more commune with the universe we are a part of. Every time we do this, every time we look with an open energy we are gifted the opportunity to connect with our origins and to remember the eternal vastness of our Being.

Galactic Gateways

When I asked Spirit what they wanted to say about this extra sensory art exhibition. I was surprised by the response. They brought to me a saying…one you might very well know and one that is among my favourite quotations.

“For those that know, no words are necessary
For those that don’t, no words are enough.”

It was then that I realised they were not going to try and explain this extra sensory art exhibition to you…they were going to leave it up to you to interrupt these paintings for yourselves and in harmony with that idea there are no descriptions of the individual paintings.

Every single one of you may be able to think of a 3D reason that brought you to this gallery, whatever the 3D reason forget it. Every single one of you was lead here by the soul.

You are here because your souls knew you have an opportunity to connect with a home energy, to open a doorway, to resonate and awaken.
You are eternal beings.

In Sydney, a place I consider to be where I became of age, there was a man who for many years was unknown and unseen but for the message he left behind wherever he had been. It was placed in all sorts of spots where people would see it, park benches, sidewalks, the entrance to railways stations. It has become an icon of Sydney. In the year 2000 when the Olympic Games came to Sydney it was spelt out in fireworks against a dark sky. It was one word and it held so much within it…Eternity!

There are all sorts of stories of how this one word shaped people. It allowed people to think of the ‘more’.

It is estimated that in the 35 year period of this graffiti’s appearance in Sydney this man wrote the word eternity 500,000 times.
You are eternal souls. The stars are perhaps one of the greatest symbols of this eternity. They remind us of this every night as we are greeted with the light from world’s light-years away that have already passed into nothingness that eternity is as vast and expansive as space.

•    The Earth is 4.543 Billion years old
•    The Milky Way (Our Galaxy) is 13.2 Billion years old
•    There are considered to be in our galaxy 100 billion stars, that’s stars like our sun, that doesn’t count all the planets that orbit those suns
•    Common observable wisdom in science states that there are about 17 billion earth sized planets in our galaxy. That’s one in six stars has a planet like earth orbiting around it.
•    Just to mind-boggle you further there are considered to be over 100 billion galaxies in our known universe.
•    By measuring the number and luminosity of the observable galaxies astronomers put current estimates of the total stellar population to be at roughly 70 billion trillion.

You are an eternal soul. That means you are older than the earth, you have been around longer than the moon and the planets in the solar system…you are a soul that has lived to see the birth of the Milky Way (Our galaxy) 13.2 billion years ago. You are eternal. You don’t remember the fullness of this in this incarnation, but it lays dormant knowledge within you waiting to be awoken again. Your soul brought you here to glimpse the eternity of your being, to connect with the energy of the cosmos that birthed you, that continues to sustain you and create within you a longing to return to the knowledge of yourself and your origins. This is the gift on offer…

“It’s kind of home to all of us really it’s where it all started. All the elements of the universe they all come from the stars…that’s what makes us up…the calcium in our bones, the carbon in our muscles, the iron in our blood. It was all born with the explosion that started it all. Without the stars we wouldn’t have anything, not you, not me…we are stardust.”
